The footsteps of the decriped youth sounded swift against the soft debris filled ground. Their eyes full of a mission that neither one were sure they could fulfill, both knowing that if they failed it would not only mean their lives but the lives of countless others. The opponent they faced echoed tremendous power as the once majestic kingdom fell to his evil power
The young black male who lead with long silky hair blowing in the wind gritted his teeth in anger as only one word escaped the tight grasp of his imprisoning frown. Daameon!!! His furious shouts of hatred went unheard as the unspeakable evil still battled with another being.
Using only her fists, she pounded against the brilliant purple force field Daameon had created. the impact of her blows caused ripples to surge through the earth, but they did little to dent the force field that Daameon had created. Daameon had let down his force field and grasped the young powerful woman's fist tightly. He applied tremendous pressure on her small hand and she bent down on one knee and cried out in pain. Her screams echoed through the destroyed kingdom as tears filled the longhair black youth's eyes. Goddess! I'm coming! Hold on!
Memories filled the young man's head as he speedily ran to the aid of older adopted sister. He remembered crying on her shoulder as she ran her fingers through his hair as he retold the nightmares of him losing his parents. He could remember the boyish voice that boomed from his larynx. He could remember the way she comforted him, bringing his small, frail body closer into her arms. He could still feel the kiss she planted on his forehead so long ago, and that kiss still pulsated on his forehead, offering him enough courage and strength to press forward.
The mere force emanating from Daameon, the evil king, attempted to stop the young man in pursuit, but had failed to even slow the young man as he simply raised his arm and knocked the powerful force to the ground crumbling at the sheer power of Daameon's power. The other young man with a dark tan and toned body placed his hands on top of both ears and let out a scream of rage crumbling the debris around him and also knocking the evil king's force from from his adopted older brother.
The black boy in lead ran faster as his younger adopted brother cleared a path for him. The boy in the lead's dark eyes were set on a fixed position toward his older sister. He growled a lion's roar as his power grew inside of his body. He jumped from the debris particles that fell from the extravagant Victorian-esque buildings that were once homes to the royal citizens of Zimunde. The royal citizens ran while the young boy jumped over the populace, striving to reach the tops of the once extravagant buildings. When he reached the dome shaped roof of a dilapidated church, he unsheathed the deadly blade that reflected blood runes and destruction.
He stood for a moment as he saw another one of his older adopted sisters attempt to overcome the evil king with a single blow. Daameon grabbed the unsuspecting, boyish black woman's tiny fist and threw her in the air. What followed was a vicious combo of kicks and punches that brought her to her knees beside the dark king. He kicked her to the side and she fell several feet below to the soft ground, that possibly being the only reason why she had survived the fall.
The young black man screamed as he conjured an immense energy, but he was stopped by a honey colored hand on his shoulder. "Let me handle this little brother." Her slightly deep and raspy voice flowed from her soul as she spoke to the young man, almost comforting him and making him feel as though he were ten years old again, running to her for her wisdom. "You just get close enough to Varia and Goddess to get them away from Daameon. I'll cover you from here, you just go, okay?" The young man looked at his older sister with a look of playful confusion, and she retorted to the language his eyes spoke with a verbal response of her own. "Why you looking at me like that Bro Bro?"
Bro Bro smiled a large smile and he turned to his older sister with a look that longed for guidance of an older sibling. "Don't worry, Bro Bro. When we get out of this, we'll go out for some food and get some rest before we train some more tomorrow, but tomorrow won't come unless we both defeat this monster. Now is not a time indecisiveness. Now is a time for action. Now act." Bro Bro laughed at the thought of his sister eating like a monster and the thought made him smile, but determination filled the face of the young man known only as Bro Bro. he turned around and roared again before returning to his full sprint toward his older sisters.
He jumped off of the dome as a large blue ethereal beam came over the church where he once stood. The church soon became nothing more than the skittish framework of the building. He didn't need to ask the condition his sister was in. He knew she had been killed, utterly destroyed by the large beam. He wanted to cry but couldn't. He didn't want the sister he so looked up to to see him cry from cry from Heaven. His eyes read conviction as he stared at football length debris filled field he had to cross and with the bright red scarf he had galloping in the wind he knew he would have ti make that journey alone. He ran as if for dear life toward his assailant and he knew then he was the chosen one to fight such a beastly power. His sword echoed his rage as it gleamed violently in the midnight purple sun. The distance no longer seemed vast as a hundred meters turned into fifty and fifty soon turned into twenty. Bro Bro saw the most dangerous opponent he had ever faced in his entire life standing in front of him at that very moment and the only emotion that pumped through him was that of pure unadulterated anger. He squeezed the hilt of his blade and with the voice of a beastly celestial being, he roared, "Daameon!" and the monster king turned to face a young boy with the look of certain death on his face.
Ah, Jeremiah, hello old friend. I was wondering how long I would have to slaughter you brothers and sisters before you showed your face. I'm glad you limited it to just Goddess and Varia and poor Monster. She met certain death didn't she? Daameon smiled an evil smile as he licked his lips hungrily toward Bro Bro.
Bro Bro's look of conviction never wavered as he stared into Daameon's demonic glare. His voice roared out into the kingdom as he raised his blood rune sword into the air pointing it at his apparent target. "You're no friend of mine, Daameon. No friend of mine!"
Daamon smiled evilly. "Then what would you consider us, Jeremiah?" The evil king calmed his battle stance and relaxed his form, placing both hands to his sides. "I mean", he addedalong with expressive gestures, "You've destroyed so many of my minions to get to the position where you are, you've foiled my evil plot. You alone are the reason why instead of having a nice, quiet downfall of Zimbunbe, I had to come off of my throne and destroy this illustrious kingdom myself. Congratulations are in order. You've done the imossible, Jeremiah. You have made this fun for me."
Bro Bro's face twisted in disgust . "You're a monster, Daameon. A pure evil and muse to train harder so I can rid the world of your evil. Just like my mother and father had attempted to years ago. I...." Bro bro gestured to himself wildly. "I will be the one to the Blood Sword through your heart."
Daameon smiled wickedly, "So you think because you wield the ultimate power that you are a match for me. Even with the legendary Blood Sword, you are still a peon in comparison to my grandeur. You should've ran with your tail tucked between your legs long ago. Now you will see what real ultimate power is."
Bro Bro didn't flinch when he heard the apparent death threat. He only stood his ground with a firm stance and his large blade pointed straight at Daameon's face. Feeling as though this were an insult, Daameon threw an immediate but powerful purple beam in Bro Bro's direction, but with Bro Bro's agility matching an expert gymnast's, he easily leaped over the beam.
While he was still suspended in the air, a large shot echoed in the air. It was quickly followed by more five more that impacted loudly on the purple force field that Daameon had created. Bro Bro looked in the direction the loud shots had came from and he smiled when he saw the small, beautiful girl holding a large .357 magnum with both hands and his other younger adopted brother standing tall above the beautiful woman with an equally beautiful chrome beast of a .40 caliber pistol pointing at the demonic king. Bro Bro smiled at a portion of his family before Daameon threw another beam of power at the unsuspecting couple. A scowl appeared on Bro Bro's face before he lunged toward the king with his sword drawn, his blade waiting to taste the sweet blood of the demonic king. Before the Blood Sword could connect with Daameon's body, a large purple ethereal blade appeared in the air and blocked Bro Bro's vicious assault. The energy that crackled between the ethereal blade and the powerful Blood Sword was astonishing as the purple and red streaks of lightning changed the color of the atomsphere from dark purple to almost midnight black.
"Wow! You actually do possess some kind of power don't you, Jeremiah?" Bro Bro pressed his blade deeper into Daameon's summoned blade as another set of shots came. "Damn!" Daameon thought as he turned his head to see that the gunman and gunwoman stood on another plateau with their guns drawn. With just enough time to attack the distracted devil king. He boke the engagement between his sword and the summoned sword and he kicked the king in the face, sending the dark king into the ground where Varia lay.Bro Bro stood on what was once Daameon's plateau and stared down at the king with an unwavering determination. The gun duo screamed in excitement as they watched their leader land the first blow.
"You see Christian?" The young gun toting womansaid, "I told you Bro Bro was going to beat Daameon."
Christian looked down at the beaut with a gun and smiled. "Yeah, I guess there is a chance that Bro Bro might make it, huh?"
"There is no chance Bro Bro aint gonna win. He is gonna win. I have nodoubt in my mind about that." She smiled her beautiful smile and Christian's facial expression read that of a monkey. Scratching his head in thought.
"You know Bro Bro is my brother, and you believe that he can beat Daameon more than I. How can you be so sure that Bro Bro is gonna win against an opponent who killed not only his paents, but both his older brother and adopted older brother."
She turned and laughed, remembering the stories Bro Bro used to tell her by the comforting fire that blazed beside the young lovers, and laughed at her older friend. "Because I believe in him, even when he doesn't believe in himself."
Just then Daameon jumped up from theground below and hovered in front of Christian. He raised his hand and a small ball of energy appeared in the center of his palm. The energy ball was the size of a pebble, but when it expelled from Daameon's hand, it ripped through Christian's flesh before entering his heart and exploding in his chest. The young woman shrieked in shock as Christian fell to the ground slowly, life expiring from his body the closer he came to the hard rock of the plateau.
Bro Bro watched his little brother fall to the ground and a tear fell to the ground. His heart pumped hatred as he raised his hand the same way Daameon had and a bright angry red ball of energy had appeared in his hand. The ball of energy flew from his hand and toward the back of Daameon. The young woman stood petrified before the great demon king and she saw his face turn from confident to pain as the ball of energy burned his back, struggling to burn his back, struggling to burn through his flesh. He froze with his arms extended, trembling at the force of the energy ball that burned on his back.
Bro Bro jumped high into the ground before he landed next to the young, shocked woman. He picked up the young woman and with incredible speed, he rushed the young woman back to the city from wence he came. He put her on the brick road with buildings falling all around them and with a comforting grip on her arms, he shook until she came out of her shocked state. Her green eyes came alive as she stared at Bro Bro. Tears came rushing down her face as began to relay what Bro Bro had already known. Christian, his younger brother, had died at the hands of the evil king. She stared in Bro Bro's dark brown eyes and she did not see a hint of sadness in his face. "I'm sorry Bro Bro. I didn't react quick enough."
Tears ran down her face, like a waterfall through a mountain, the tears left their mark on her face. "I'm sorry Bro Bro." She attempted to cover her face but Bro Broput her hands back down and proceeded to wipe her teas away from her beautiful green eyes.
"Don't worry 'bout it, Kay. Christian knew what he was was getting into when came with me on this mission. My brother died a warrior, and that's how I want to remember him. Can't change that, but what we can't do is cry about it," Bro Bro sounding more like his older sister, Monster, than himself, "not right now because the whole world is depending on this last stand. The whole world is depending on us so we have to be strong."
She looked up at him with tear filled eyes and with a voice strained by pain, she asked, "But what....."
"Do you believe in, Kay?" Bro Bro asked. She stuttered and his dark eyes peered upon her. "Do you believe in me?"
She nodded her head before a little voice came from behind Kay. "Brother Bear?" Bro Bro peeked behind Kay and saw the little body of his baby adopted sister.
In her small innocent eyes he saw a hint of the same determination that burned in his in own eyes. "Sissy Bear?" The little girl smiled an angelic smile and she ran into her older brother's expecting arms. She clutched the loose fabric of her brother's clothing tightly as a child would grasp the tie of her father. Bro Bro smelled the innocence perpetuating off of his Sissy Bear and in a quiet, comforting tone, he asked her, "What are you doing here, Sissy Bear?"
Her young eyes looked into not only her brother's eyes but an idol's eyes. She looked at him as though he were a god. "Brother Bear, I had to see you."
Kay looked down at the two conversing and thought to herself, "This little girl has the upmost confidence in Bro Bro, so why can't I?"
The little girl continued while Kay found herself in her own thoughts. "I had to see you before you went to fight the bad man so I can give you a hug. I always give you a hug before you fight, right?"
Bro Bro laughed, "Yeah you have." He smiled at her chasity and held her at arm's length. His mature voice filled the young girl's ears. "So you had to give your older a hug, huh Sissy Bear?"
She smiled and her eyes twinkled in the light of destruction. "I have to give you something else, brother." She went to unfasten the hook to her small chain and with it unfastened , she held a small, golden chain in her hand with a pendant that held the face of Jesus on the charm. "I have this to give you too, Brother Bear."
Bro Bro jerked his head back, astonished by the little girl's charity, "But Sissy Bear, Sister Ann Marie gave us these chains." He took one arm off of the young girl to show her his matching chain.
She walked deeper into his embrace and fastened the chain on her older brother's neck. "You need this Brother Bear, for good luck."
Bro Bro kissed his Sissy Bear on the forehead. "Thank you Sissy Bear."
She smiled and replied, "I love you, Brother Bear. Now go get him!"
"I love you too, Charity." He hugged her tight before he stood up match Kay's gaze. He walked to Kay with Charity looking upon her big brother advance toward another love with an irreplaceable smile, inherently proud of how far her big brother had come. When he reached Kay, he pulled her into a deep embrace, planting a passionate kiss on her lips. "I love you too, ma."
She placed her hands on the small of his neck and pleaded, "Please come back to Jeremiah."
Bro Bro smiled and laughed quietly. "I can't get a 'I love you' back?" She broke out into tears. Bro Bro smiled and wiped the tears from Kay's eyes. "Don't worry sweetie, I'll be right back and I want my love you when I get back, okay?"
Her voice was strained with promise, "Bro Bro....Just come back."
Bro Bro broke his embrace with her after staring deep into her eyes and the last thing he touched was her hand. He ruffled Charity's hair and the little girl laughed playfully as her brother left for the battle. Kay walked behind Charity and knelt behind the girl, embracing the young girl tightly, both watching their hero head to battle and Kay understanding the new duties to protect the young girl from impending danger.
Bro Bro ran with an impeccable speed as the distance between him and his enemy grew lesser and lesser. When he was close enough to the damaged devil king, he lunged high into the air wih his sword high above his head. His screams of rage continued until the blade came down on Daameon's now trademark purple force field. Bro Bro retracted his blade and twirled in the air as the Blood Sword deflected purple balls of flame into the almost utterly destroyed background. When Bro Bro landed, he placed a hand on the ground to balance himself in a battle stance that read confidence, his blade high in the air.
Bro Bro's smile was not only disrespectful to the demon king but also dangerous as it showed Daameon that his opponent held no fear for the demon king. Bro Bro lunged at the king with his blade high in the air yelling, "Is that all you got your majesty!?" He sliced at the king's face, and for the first time in Daameon's life, he realized he was still a man. No matter how powerful he was, he was still able to bleed. He touched his face to feel the deep scar that the Blood Sword had just his face his uninspiring beauty mark. Daameon's face now held tears of pain as he growled and ran toward the confident Bro Bro, but before the king could reach Bro Bro, he was ejected into the air by a powerful sound wave.
Bro Bro looked around frantically, searching for his unseen ally. When he saw his younger brother, he smiled and waved to his younger brother, but before Mikey could smile, a large, ethereal purplr blade was thrusted into his chest. The life left Mikey's eyes as he fell to his knees and then Mikey fell face forward into the ground. "No!!!!" Bro Bro screamed as he jumped to the rocky plateau where Mikey once stood. When he found himself by Mikey's side, he knelt by his younger brother, his Blood Sword soaking up the blood of his brother from off of the ground. Tears fell freely from Bro Bro's eyes now . "No." He ruffled Mikey's styled cropped hair gently as he felt the life of his brother leave his body and flow into the blade. The runes on his blade began to glow bright red as Bro Bro's pain intensified. "No!!!!!" Bro Bro yelled into the air as he lost yet another brother. He turned away no longer able to face his brother as memories flashed through his cerebellum. He remembered how he felt teaching his younger brother to hone his powers as him and Monster gave Mikey pointers on how to combine the many talents he had and he thought to himself, "As much as we taught you, it still didn't help." He closed Mikey still eyes.
The laughs came soon after that as Daameon hovered in front of the crumbling stone mushroom where Mikey once stood. "You see Jeremiah, I cannot be beaten by you nor Mikey nor anyone of your brothers. I have killed what seems like your entire family," Daameon turned back to the crumbling kingdom, "Except for Charity." The demon king's laugh roared throughout the air. "And you left Kay to protect her."
He laughed again and raised his hand to conjure a spell, but before he could summon a spell that would destroy the entire kingdom, Bro Bro spoke softly, "No. Your fight is with me demon." Bro Bro slowly stood and grabbed his Blood Sword from the blood soaked ground with the runes on the the blade still pulsating with power. He gripped the blade tightly cocked his head just enough to show only a slight angle of his brown eye. "You face me now, Daameon." His once brown eyes now held a hint of red, and the veins in Bro Bro's body pumped full of angry power.
Daameon being blinded by his own arrogance, did not see the power that emanated from the young man. He only shrugged his shoulders and summoned a demonic horseman who rode on a steed with dark, flaming eyes and teeth that reeked of rotten flesh, the horseman carrying an ornate shotgun and a sadistic smile. "Fine, Jeremiah our battle will only consist of only me and you," Daameon's cocky demeanor flowed in every syllable as he continued to speak, "Besides my minions should be more than enough to handle a little girl." Daameon cackled as he summoned more hooded demons inside of the kingdom.
Bro Bro turned his head so he was completely blind to his enemy. Then almost out of nowhere, Bro Bro completely turned around and lunged toward the demon king with red aura surrounding him. He jumped in the air with his sword high above his head. He swung the blade and a large red energy presence came from the blade. Daameon barely dodged the magical energy as he finally realized the opponent he faced. His face now red fear. The two powerful beings now hovered in a Mexican standoff. Both faces held looks of warriors who knew that this would be there last battle as Daameon summoned his own ultimate power in the form or an ornate fencing blade.
Daameon smiled, feeling as though he had already won the battle. "Should we battle now, Jeremiah?"
Bro Bro let out a scream that spelled death to any enemy that stood in his way as he flew towards the demon king with his Blood Sword beside him. When Bro Bro attempted to strike Daameon, his sword met opposition as Daameon's own sword blocked the Blood Sword easily. "Is that all you got, Jeremiah?" Daameon stated sarcastically. The energy that surged between the two blades rained an electrical current that pierced the earth itself as various great stones fell to the great power of the two swords. Daameon laughed and asked, "Have you had enough yet, Jeremiah?" Bro Bro pressed down on the summoned blade harder before breaking it into pieces, leaving Daameon disorientated and confused. "How could this be?" He asked as he landed on the only elevated stone presence that stood.
Bro Bro glowed with a red aura that emitted of the evil king's destruction. Bro Bro descended slowly on to the stone structure and began to advance toward the petrified Daameon. His eyes wide with fear, he understood the opponent he faced now. He knew that his reign of terror was to be ended this day by the young man whose life he had tried to destroy so many years ago. He remembered the face of Bro Bro's father before he killed him and his eyes haunted his memory as he realized he had killed the wrong Jeremiah. Bro Bro's hair flowed in the air as he stared blankly at his enemy.
Elsewhere, Kay had her hands filled with the enemies who filled the kingdom. She sent many shots into the ghouls, but the blessed bullets that she possessed did very little to hurt the monsters that advanced toward her and the little girl she clutched in her arms. The wicked horseman watched her futile efforts with fiery eyes and a smile that spelled danger.
The hooded henchmen continued to advance toward the young women, but then without shrieks fled from their ghastly, deformed mouths, showing their vicious sets of teeth that caused so many agony before, and then the monsters were. Their master had been destroyed.
Back on the stone presence, Daameon held himself off of the ground with his arms with the Blood Sword stuck inside of his chest. His eyes were now bloodshot and his gaze now held a look of despair as he realized that his kingdom of evil spirits were about to fall. The evil king coughed and blood splurted from his mouth. "You may have won this battle but....."
Before the evil king could finish his last rights, Bro Bro snatched the blade from Daameon's chest and sliced the evil king's chest and sliced in his head in half. Then he turned his back on the evil king in silence. Bro Bro did not feel any glory with the death of the one who had killed so many of his family members. He was a warrior bred among a family of warriors, blood related or not, and in his victory, he kept his warrior composure.
Kay clutched Charity close to her thankful that she didn't have to face the demons up close. Tears of joy welled up inside of her eyes as she realized that her battle was over. She looked into the horizon and saw a lonely figure approaching, and then another followed closely behind. When she saw the familiar red scarf flutter in the air, she picked Charity up and sprinted toward her best friend, her love. "Jeremiah!?" She yelled as tears left her green eyes matching the velocity of her speed. When she reached Bro Bro and Monster, she jumped into the arms of the awaiting Bro Bro.
He pulled Charity and Kay close and squeezed them as though he hadn't seen them in years. "I thought you was gone, Bro Bro." She cried in his chest and he picked her head up to meet his unwavering gaze.
"Didn't I make you a promise?" She smiled and nodded her head as the sun became brilliantly orange and yellow, making her smile that much more beautiful.
Monster wobbled toward Charity and picked her younger sister from Kay's grasp and held her tightly. She kissed cheek lightly, and Charity in her innocence, wiped the kiss from her face. "Ewww Monster!" She smiled and Monster matched her smile with her own.
Bro Bro smiled at the scene of love transpiring between his two sisters, but he was caught offguard by Kay's passionate embrace. Their lips intertwined for a moment in time, and when their lips parted he asked, "Where's my promise?"
She smiled, "Never make a promise you can't keep, but I promise that I love you now and forever, Bro Bro."
He smiled, I love you too, Kay."
